### Objectives:
1. Students will refine and improve their swimming strokes with a focus on technique.
2. Students will understand the importance of different swimming strokes and when to use them.
3. Students will practice and demonstrate improved endurance and breathing techniques.
4. Students will learn and practice water safety skills.

### Introduction (10 minutes):
1. **Welcome and Roll Call:** Begin with attendance and a brief discussion on previous swimming lessons (Swimming I).
2. **Objective Overview:** Explain the goals for the day, focusing on improving technique, endurance, and safety.
### Warm-Up (10 minutes):
1. **Dry-land Stretches:** Perform dynamic stretches focusing on shoulders, arms, legs, and torso.
2. **Pool Entry and Acclimatization:** Enter the pool safely, perform light swimming to get used to the water temperature, and perform gentle kicks along the pool's edge.
### Main Activity (60 minutes):
#### Part 1: Technique Refinement (30 minutes):
- **Freestyle Stroke (10 minutes):**
- Demonstrate proper arm movement, head position, and kicking.
- Have students practice in small increments, while giving individual feedback.
- **Backstroke (10 minutes):**
- Focus on flutter kick, maintaining a streamlined body position, and efficient arm movements.
- Practice with and without kickboards.
- **Breaststroke (10 minutes):**
- Emphasize the frog kick, breath control, and timing of strokes.
- Practice individually and provide feedback.
#### Part 2: Endurance and Breathing (15 minutes):
- Students swim laps focusing on maintaining proper technique while improving their stamina.
- Teach students breathing techniques and have them focus on controlled breathing while swimming different strokes.
#### Part 3: Water Safety Skills (15 minutes):
- **Treading Water:** Demonstrate and practice keeping in place using a scissor kick and eggbeater kick.
- **Floatation and Survival Skills:** Teach floating techniques on the back and stomach and the HELP (Heat Escape Lessening Position) technique.
- **Rescue Skills:** Basic reach-and-throw techniques for distressed swimmers.
### Cool-Down (5 minutes):
1. Slow laps focusing on relaxation and gentle movements.
2. Poolside stretching, focusing on muscles used during swimming.
### Conclusion (5 minutes):
1. Recap the day's activities and key points learned.
2. Discuss individual progress and areas for improvement.
3. Provide homework – something like watching a video on advanced swimming techniques or reading about water safety.

- Observe and provide feedback during activities.
